Queen’s Award leads to trip to Palace

Two of our trustees had the great honour of being invited to the Buckingham Palace Garden Party in recognition of The Link Foundation receiving The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Nicola and Liz were delighted to see Their Royal Highnesses, The Princess of Wales, The Duke of Edinburgh and The Countess of Wessex and enjoyed chatting with other charities from throughout the UK.  Both reported that  the afternoon tea was amazing and hearing music from the bands of the Household Cavalry whilst walking through the palace gardens was an experience never to be forgotten.
